The Flyweel Assembly is directly bolted to the engine and continuously turns with the engine, thus causing the pistons to move up and down. A vehicle's flywheel also stores energy mechanically but in the form of kinetic energy. This item is integral in transferring power to the transmission from the engine and works with the starter to crank the engine.
