The Cap Screw is a long threaded fastener with a hex-shaped cap. This fastener is also referred to as a King Pin. This particular screw has a tiny, drilled hole at the base of the threaded shaft that houses a cotter pin to stabilize the king pin. This hardware item can be used in many types of vehicle installations, however, the cap screw is frequently used in front suspension, front axle and spindle assemblies.
